Hey everyone! Newbie here. First entry.

This is a Burns sculpture I did from a doodle drawing I did at work. My friend Paul Wee liked how I tweaked his eyes to make his glare more intense. I thought it would make a great sculpture so I gave it a shot and he turned out pretty good!

Made from sculpey, Burns comes off the desk display I made so he can work as a piece by himself too. The desk is just a panel of wood I stained and varnished. The pens are sculpey. The inkpad blotter is construction paper which is already fading and the papers are... little pieces of paper... what a concept! The button has a bit of foam under it so you can actually push it. The plaques are changeable too.

His eyes are coated with glow-in-the-dark paint so when the lights go out, he keeps staring at you!

Very inventive, especially with the glow in the dark paint for the eyes. :0

and that expression always suits Mr.Burns

Cool! He looks better than the McFarlane ones where they have the thick black line around the eyes.
Good job.

Hey there! I never liked that black eye-liner either! I think they were tryin to make it look more like the actual cartoon drawin by doin that but it didn't work! They would have to outline everything to get that look to work and I still don't think it would look right. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm with you guys on that! Your model is totally professional and far superior than that which is mass produced, and the black lines belong on 2D characters, because that's an efficient way to make 2D characters. xD
